Wednesday November 19th at 3 p.m. at the Salon du livre de Montréal : Join us for this discussion with author and publisher Raymond Viger, who will share how the past and present resonate with each other to rekindle a sense of belonging and engagement today. A grandfather and his grandson revisit one hundred years of Quebec history. Through their conversation spanning four generations, the author invites the audience to reflect on the cultural and social legacy it carries, and on the struggles for language, solidarity, and justice.

The discussion will feature the author’s 20th book in his 50-year career: Confidences autour du feu (Confidences Around the Fire). Available at Éditions TNT, the publisher.

Patrick White is a media specialist and former media manager, with some fifteen years of field experience at CTV News and Reuters. He has also worked for The Canadian Press, Quebecor Media, and The Huffington Post Quebec. He is the author of the books Le village CNN (PUM, 1997) and Henry Daniel Thielcke: un peintre royal méconnu (PUL, 2022). He is currently working on two essays concerning the history and future of media.
