The homeless encampment on Place Simon-Valois in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve where Stéphane Lefrançois, 55, froze to death last December 15th is no more. The building whose awning they sheltered under is for sale. The only trace is this one pillow and two blankets on the ground, where before there were a dozen or more beddings, and several men and women roughig it out in the cold nights. The sun beats down on Place Valois, the passers-by walk without noticing, everything is back to normal. One wonders where the residents of this outdoor camp went.
