On November 7th at the National Assembly of Quebec, a special day for one of our teens.

JayCy Denis (pictured) will be honored with one of the Leviers Awards. Given by ROCAJQ (the Regroupement des organismes communautaires autonomes jeunesse du Québec), the Leviers Awards recognize the participation of young people with different life paths in the development of Quebec. To date, more than 200 awards have been given out over the years, including to those of our organization, including: Caroline Demers, Bruno Robitaille, Rémi, Sylvain Masse and Jean-Simon Brisebois.

What an honor for JayCy.

Born in a single parent home in a lower income milieu, JayCy showed what he was capable of by being the youngest graffiti teacher in the history of the Café Graffiti. Despite an initial shyness, JayCy showed courage in leading graffiti workshops of 75 youths and more, proving his ability to surmount hurdles. he is also a kick-ass artist, painting and graffing with the best, freehand.

Through his commitment, JayCy shows just how perseverance and passion can transform obstacles into opportunities and contribute positively to the community.

Bravo JayCy! Bravo ROCAJQ!
