Montreal’s Lazylegz and ILL-Abilities in Paris

By Colin McGregor

B-boy, impresario and motivational speaker Luca Lazylegz Patuelli and his ILL-Abilities breakdance crew are in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics. On the first day of competition in the all-new breakdance event they are to perform at the event venue.

Luca, closely associated with the Café Graffiti, and ILL-Abilities, has been a world famous partisan of the hip-hop art since he was very young, spreading the word across the globe. His motto “no limits, no excuses” has become an inspiration to millions. Born with a handicap that has rendered his legs incomplete, Luca dances on crutches, wheeling and soaring and swinging to a hip-hop beat.

His crew, ILL-Abilities, is composed of b-boys with their own physical challenges who assemble from all over the world to perform. Luca describes their getting together as “like the Avengers.” They’ll be performing at the opening of the 2024 Paralympic Games, slated for August 28th.

A product of Montreal – let’s celebrate athletic prowess in its many forms.
