Café Graffiti Moves a Bit Further West on Ste-Catherine Street

By Colin McGregor

We’ve moved!

The offices of The Social Eyes inside the Café Graffiti (also responsible for Reflet de Société magazine) have moved a few blocks west on Ste-Catherine Street East.

The new digs are quite impressive. There’s much more floor space and a very high ceiling, so there’s more room for the workshops on graffiti art we give.

There’s also 40 feet (12 metres) of display window on the ground floor looking directly out onto Ste-Catherine – something the old place didn’t have. It’s tough to miss us if you’re in the neighborhood!

The new address is 3894 rue Ste-Catherine est, suite 012. We’re between avenue d’Orleans and avenue Bourbonnière on the south side of the street. We’re part of a group of creative enterprises occupying the same building.

Drop in and visit if you’re in the area. Our walls are filed with bright, lively graffiti art from our over 30 years of involvement with young artists, rappers, b-boys and other volunteers and participants in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, as well as from around Québec and points further afield.

Raymond Viger, Danielle Simard and the whole Café Graffiti team worked very hard over several weeks to make the move a reality. We’re still at the stage of unpacking boxes. And will be for some time to come!
